About silly sausages?
Silly Sausages is a deliberately unserious place for a very serious habit:
showing up every day and making something.
This site exists to keep me accountable to a daily photo challenge — taking, making, or experimenting with photos (and occasionally the tech around them). No algorithms. No chasing likes. No perfection. Just turning up and pressing the shutter.
Some days the photos are decent.
Some days they’re absolute nonsense.
That’s kind of the point.
Why “Silly Sausages”?
Because taking creativity too seriously is how it quietly dies.
This is a reminder that it’s okay to mess about, try stuff, fail publicly, and enjoy the process.
Also: sausages are funny. That’s just science.
What you’ll find here
- One photo (or idea) per day
- Short notes about how or why it was made
- Occasional rambles about cameras, tech, or creative habits
- Zero stock photos pretending to be deep
Think of it as a visual sketchbook rather than a polished portfolio.
What this site is not
- Not a tutorial hub
- Not a gear flex
- Not a “brand” (steady on)
If it ever turns into one of those, I’ve missed the point.
The goal
To keep creating.
To stay curious.
To avoid becoming one of those people who used to take photos.
If you’re doing your own daily challenge — photography or otherwise — you’re already winning. If not, consider this your nudge.
Cheers for stopping by, mate.
Now go make something.
